Using the radio

Hang the radio around neck using the lanyard provided.

Hook ear-arm behind either ear so foam pad is flush with ear.

Rotate the on-off/volume control to activate the radio. The screen will display channels E1, E2...

Change channels by pressing UP or DOWN button.

The radio can also be used to listen to your favourite radio station by pressing UP and DOWN buttons together for 3 seconds. 87.7 will appear in the LCD screen and the radio will then operate as a traditional FM radio, with tuning through the UP and DOWN buttons.

To return to the event channel, press UP and DOWN buttons together for 3 seconds.

To turn off the radio

Fully rotate the on-off/volume control until a click is heard.

Battery replacement

Expected battery life is around 20 hours continual usage.

Grasp outer cover and unscrew counter-clockwise.

Replace battery with a new CR2450 3V Lithium Cell.

Replace outer cover firmly, ensuring it is flat against the radio.

Optimum reception quality

Reception may be impaired within buildings or if the radio is shielded from the transmitter by large structures or trees.

Reception may be improved by adjusting lanyard position.

Ensure radio is clear of any electrical appliances that can cause interference, such as mobile telephones.

Caution statements

Choking hazard - keep away from children under the age of 3.

Use of this radio by any older child should be supervised.

Listen at a moderate volume to avoid accidents.

Do not use whilst driving or cycling to avoid accidents.

When not in use ensure radio is switched off.

Remove battery if radio will not be used for many weeks.

Environmental note

This cardboard packaging should be disposed of responsibly.

Batteries contain chemicals and must be disposed of properly.
